The SoundStation IP 7000 is the boardroom-tier IP conference phone in the SoundStation family — 20-foot microphone pickup with optional expansion mics, HiFi 22 kHz audio bandwidth via Polycom Siren 22, full-duplex speakerphone. The largest legacy SoundStation; supported on voip.army.
The SoundStation IP 7000 was Polycom's boardroom conference phone — released 2007, EOL'd 2018. Twenty-foot microphone pickup range with the chassis alone, expandable to forty-plus feet with optional satellite expansion microphones. The audio path supported the Polycom Siren 22 codec, which offered 22 kHz audio bandwidth — full studio-grade voice fidelity, useful for music-on-hold or audio-conference recording.
It's the conference phone we shipped to boardrooms, executive briefing centers, and any space where the table seated more than twelve and a single chassis-mounted mic wasn't going to pick up everyone. The optional Polycom HDX expansion mics (sold separately) plug into the back of the unit and extend pickup down a long table.
For existing fleets, the IP 7000 and any attached expansion mics onboard onto voip.army's legacy provisioning VLAN. For new orders the modern equivalent is the Poly Trio 8800 — touch interface, USB/Bluetooth pairing, supports up to two satellite expansion microphones, IEEE 802.3at PoE+.

The SoundStation IP 7000 runs Polycom UCS firmware 4.0.15 — the last release that supports this hardware. It onboards onto voip.army the same way as any current phone, just on our legacy provisioning VLAN because the phone's TLS stack predates modern web standards. Call quality is normal SRTP.
Boot, fetch config from our provisioning server, register, ready. About one minute on a normal internet connection.
Run up to 1 simultaneous SIP registration. Each line key has a dual-color LED for status.
Bringing your own? Send us the MAC, factory-reset, plug in. No charge to add it to the fleet.
Last firmware Polycom shipped for this phone (2018). Still works perfectly on voip.army; provisions over our isolated legacy VLAN because the phone can't speak TLS 1.2.
PC pass-through port on the back lets you daisy-chain a single ethernet drop to phone and computer.
Class 2. Any 802.3af-compliant switch from the last 15 years will power it without issue.
Send us a CSV of MAC addresses. We add them to the provisioning server, you factory-reset and plug in, they pick up their voip.army config within a minute.
