Yealink T58W

Why the T58W is on the catalog.

The T58W is Yealink's flagship executive phone — Android-based, video-capable out of the box (no add-on camera needed), Wi-Fi 6 connectivity, the full 7-inch capacitive touchscreen. It is what you put on a CEO's desk, a boardroom table, an executive office where the phone is both a phone and a video conferencing endpoint that needs to look the part.

Where it earns the $389 vs. the T58A: the built-in camera saves the $80 CAM50 add-on and looks cleaner — no clip-on accessory hanging off the top. Wi-Fi 6 is faster and more robust on busy networks. The Android version is fresher, with more current security patches. For executive deployments that are video-enabled by default (which is most of them now post-2020), this is the right SKU.

Where it lands in a unified-communications deployment: certified for Microsoft Teams (when configured for Teams mode), works with Zoom Phone, BlueJeans, Webex, GoToMeeting via Android apps. The 1024×600 touchscreen is large enough for picture-in-picture video plus the phone UI side by side, which matters when an exec is on a Teams call and wants to glance at incoming SIP line status simultaneously.

Honest take on positioning: $389 is real money for a desk phone. The justification is consolidation — replace an executive's separate desk phone + USB webcam + dedicated video device with one wall-powered unit that lives on the desk. For any deployment that already has separate-device video infrastructure (a Polycom Studio or a Logitech MeetUp in the meeting room, a webcam at the desk), the T58W's video features are redundant and you would buy the T57W for $100 less. Buy the T58W for the integrated story, not just the spec sheet.
